I should be joyful. Not an option. Not a part of a personality profile. Not in a category of emotion. It is commanded in scripture. If I'm not joyful, it is an indication that in that moment I'm not trusting that God is working all things for the good of those who love him. Our least joyful moments are when we are relying on ourselves.
