Feathers in a pillowcase
the wind whisks them away
their paths one can not trace
where they land who can say
Words spoken will linger and last
from a tongue full of deadly poison they will reek
so let wisdom guide the words you cast
being quick to listen and slow to speak.
We like Isaiah have unclean lips
but glory to Christ who's blood has redeemed
reconciling our son and daughterships
allowing us to give to Him all the praise that is deemed.
In our hearts let gossip, slander, jealousy have no place
So one does not rip open feathers in a pillowcase.
